Iron Vanguard Siege is the kind of tower defence game that respects your intelligence. You lay down defences along winding paths, but you also manage resource generators and research, so every match is a small puzzle of priorities. Rush your damage towers or invest in economy first? The answer changes wave to wave.
The upgrade tree is broad without being overwhelming, and the enemy types force you to actually think. Armored units laugh at your basic guns, fliers skip your ground defences, and swarms punish anyone who spread too thin. I lost a few levels before I learned to read the incoming wave preview properly.
Performance is smooth even when the screen fills with projectiles, which matters in a genre where late waves get chaotic. My only gripe is that the early tutorial levels drag a bit. Push past them and the game opens up nicely.
